Course Description

In this age of abundance, all of our basic needs are met. Yet, people are suffering from a new host of challenges such as high-stress, scattered attention, obsession with materiality, and lack of fulfillment. The Buddhist path offers a straightforward training regime to awaken us from this state of discontent.

With a balance between theory and practice, this is an exciting introductory dive into the world of Buddhist meditation. Together we will explore the history and evolution of Buddhist practice through a grounded and progressive sequence of meditation exercises. We will understand how through a basis of morality one can begin to calm the mind and use it to systematically investigate reality.

Each session offers participants a chance to connect with a practice community and develop a felt sense of the magic of present moment. Through shared experience, solid conceptual grounding, a suite of home-practice techniques, participants will cultivate joy and wellbeing through discipline and commitment. Each class consists of half lecture and half guided meditation.
