About

In this course, you and a friend, family member, collaborator, or partner will explore relating through different body-mind systems.

Body-mind systems come with implicit yet potent philosophies, ones capable of answering fundamental questions and supporting a vivid way of life. Yet their practice is often confined to isolated settings: the mat, the cushion, the dance studio’s hardwood floor. This course is for people who wish to break these systems out of isolation, letting them not only inspire ways to move, breath, and play; but also how to relate.

During the 9 weeks we will practice & analyze four body-mind modalities – clowning, tango, bodywork, and contact improv – asking the question: how can they make our relationships richer?
